Never one for a loss of words on current events…
While many politicians, pundits and outspoken celebrities are taking a firm stand in favor of increased gun control in the wake of last week’s shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Conn., actor Samuel L. Jackson is taking a position that might surprise you.

“I don’t think it’s about more gun control,” said Samuel L. Jackson, who stars as a conniving house slave in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming revenge fantasy “Django Unchained.”
“I grew up in the South with guns everywhere and we never shot anyone. This [shooting] is about people who aren’t taught the value of life.”
Parents and role models who emphasize that value, he said, will accomplish more than legislators reducing the number of firearms…

I agree with Samuel on this one. The last stat, albiet an old one, on murders per year: South Africa 27000, USA 16000. Heres the cruncher, South African population at the time 58 million, USA 280 million, South African gun laws are far more stringent than the USA. Why is it this way, morale decay. It has been the collaspsing of many an Empire, Roman, Grecian to name a few.
