Henningsen on RT: ‘Iran in crosshairs’: UK may deploy more troops to Gulf

December 24, 2012

The United Arab Emirates is said to be close to ordering some 60 combat jets from the UK, and may be getting a contingent of British troops to sweeten the deal. British PM David Cameron told soldiers that they may be headed to the Gulf state as they pull out of Afghanistan. Rights groups though aren’t happy – saying dealing with the Emirates, which the EU called on to stop the mass torture of political dissidents, sends all the wrong messages. Geopolitical analyst Patrick Henningsen says there’s an ulterior motive behind the sale.

Cameron and Obama’s Hired Thugs Now Butchering Their Way Through Syria

December 7, 2012

These people only care about their own lucrative careers, and a life of priviledge on the taxpayers dime.

21st Century Wire
Dec 7, 2012

What a lark. Directing a war from the comfort of a golf course, or over a warm Cognac at Chequers. While they wine and dine in DC and Westminster, their hired hands work overtime to make rivers of blood in Syria.

Barak Obama and David Cameron, flanked by their ‘diplomats’ Hillary Clinton and William Hague, are all doing their bit to increase the bloodshed in Syria by backing the FSA rebel, al Qaida jihadist terrorists, who are presently working their way through the once stable country like termites eating through a once healthy home.

Blood comes cheap, and with budgets tight at home, western leaders are happy with the current arrangement. Rebel terrorist fighters are being paid between $500 and $2000 per month, and arms are free of charge through various NATO proxies and Gulf States. Their job assignment is a blunt one – to intimidate loyal pro-Syrian citizens, and to butcher thousands of innocent civilians – all in all, inflicting a reign of terror much like that one engineered by Washington in Nicaragua during the 1980’s. This is who Washington, London and Paris are backing in their quest to finally bring Syria under their globalist umbrella.

We have never have witnessed this level of open international criminality and hypocrisy by our puppet leaders in the West.

At least with Iraq, Bush and Blair tried to be creative with their lying by making up unbelievable stories of “mobile anthrax labs”.

Nine years on, our well-paid elite political prostitutes don’t even bother with fish stories, they just put the weapons in the hands of terrorists, and pay these professional murderers to kill indiscriminately.

All this will eventually bring shame to the citizens of western nations in the long run, much the same way that the Nazis brought shame to the German people (but no shame to the corporations, bankers and elites though – because you can only feel shame if you have a conscious to begin with).

They will keep using the same tried and tested methods, unless they can be stopped by their own electorate.

Here is a video promoting Obama and Cameron’s favoured operatives in Syria…

A State of Failure: Britain’s NHS is Now Putting Babies on ‘Death Pathways’ To Save Money

November 29, 2012
  • Practice of withdrawing food and fluid by tube being used on young patients
  • Doctor admits starving and dehydrating ten babies to death in neonatal unit
  • Liverpool Care Pathway subject of independent inquiry ordered by ministers
  • Investigation, including child patients, will look at whether cash payments to hospitals to hit death pathway targets have influenced doctors’ decisions

By Sue Reid and Simon Caldwell

Sick children are being discharged from NHS hospitals to die at home or in hospices on controversial ‘death pathways’.

Until now, end of life regime the Liverpool Care Pathway was thought to have involved only elderly and terminally-ill adults.

But the Mail can reveal the practice of withdrawing food and fluid by tube is being used on young patients as well as severely disabled newborn babies.

One doctor has admitted starving and dehydrating ten babies to death in the neonatal unit of one hospital alone.

Writing in a leading medical journal, the physician revealed the process can take an average of ten days during which a  baby becomes ‘smaller and shrunken’.

The LCP – on which 130,000 elderly and terminally-ill adult patients die each year – is now the subject of an independent inquiry ordered by ministers.

The investigation, which will include child patients, will look at whether cash payments to hospitals to hit death pathway targets have influenced doctors’ decisions.

Medical critics of the LCP insist it is impossible to say when a patient will die and as a result the LCP death becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. They say it is a form of euthanasia, used to clear hospital beds and save the NHS money…

Gaza Slaughter is the Latest in a Long Line of Israeli Violence Against Arabs

November 21, 2012

By Miko Peled
Miko Peled Weblog

As I write these words…

I am in Jerusalem and it is a cold, windy and rainy day. Yesterday at the protest in Nabi Saleh, facing the IDF terror squads and in full view of the villas of the settler terrorists, we were drenched in rain and then frozen by the cold wind. Some of the protesters, a group of young women who were gutsier than most, did not run like most of us but stood firm as the IDF terror squad operated its “Skunk” and sprayed them with a foul smelling substance that remains on the skin for days. Now, in this horrid weather, tweeting from the Mukata’a, young Palestinians are protesting against the useless, demeaning process of the PA negotiations with Israel.

The injustices all over Palestine are more obvious than ever.

Israeli children in West Jerusalem get more of everything that Palestinian children in East Jerusalem, particularly if they live in Sho’afat refugee camp for example. Settlers in the West Bank can take the land of the people of Yanun in the West Bank at any time, and are not held back by any law while the people of Yanun have no law and no authority that protects their rights. People in Gaza are bombed and left to die as the world watches and here too there is no one to whom they can turn. Equal rights in a single democracy is the one demand that covers all the demands and deals with all the injustices.

The levels of injustice and despair here are only matched by the great possibilities that a single democratic state with equal rights offers to all people who live here. Equal rights means equal rights to land, water, immigration, education, work, and above all life. When the apartheid state of Israel is transformed into a single political entity with equal rights for all of its people, residents of Jenin and Deheishe will vote in the same elections as those in Tel Aviv. The results will then reflect the will of all people who live in Palestine/Israel, our shared homeland, not only the ruling class which happen to be Zionist Israeli Jews.

People often claim that it is an unrealistic, utopian dream and hope for a compromise, for a “moderate” Zionist government that will curb the settlers and reign back the army. However, it was a “moderate” Zionist government that allowed the settlers to terrorize Palestinians and take their land, it was a “moderate” Zionist government that attacked in and murdered innocents in Gaza, and “moderate” Zionists did nothing when less “moderate” Zionists continued to massacre in Gaza. The settler terrorists are the foot soldiers, they are the trail blazers of Zionism, they were created by “moderate” Zionist governments and are now being

rewarded with villas on choice Palestinian land in the West Bank.

There are those who hope that if elected to a second term, President Obama will turn his attentions to Israel/Palestine but this is quite naive. Had he or any other president been serious about this issue they would have to come down on Israeli human rights abuses, denial of civil rights, incarceration of political prisoners and massive assaults on civilians resulting in thousands of innocent deaths. It is naive to assume that the political climate in the US allows any of these issues to be brought up. So anyone out there that is banking on a solution coming from the US, will surely be disappointed.

The quest for equal rights is not a easy one and will not be easily won. Indeed, any fight against the brutal militant Zionist behemoth is not easy and calls for great sacrifice. But the people in Palestine and abroad who are engaged in the struggle are dedicated and determined and if they put their minds and efforts towards a single demand of complete equal rights within a single democracy, they are sure to succeed.

The Cover-up Continues: Lords Peers Demand Child Abuse Investigation Dropped

November 14, 2012

21st Century Wire says: As we detailed earlier this week, the establishment is desperate to draw a line under any serious independent investigations into organised paedophile rings and child abuse in British establishments, because exposure threatens individuals who sit within the very power structure of multiple institutions – including government, the judiciary, the police, child care, ‘children’s charities’ and the BBC.

They want our horror to end with their fixer  Jimmy Savile, and the sacking of BBC’s Pope, George Entwistle – and quietly move on.

The Government’s move to spike any further inquiry into past and present existence of paedophiles in power is part of damage limitation exercise – a coordinated attempt to shut down the national conversation – despite overwhelming evidence that this is an organised, institutional disease.

The Waterhouse Inquiry into the North Wales Boys Home sex abuse criminal network was a typical government-run whitewash, where the establishment failed to probe into the heart of the problem, where institutional members covered for each other’s interests, and where police fumbled evidence and failed to secure arrests of powerful men. In the end, the bureaucracy won and justice was sadly lost.

The recent Newsnight scandal over the naming of Lord McAlpine (by the police, not the BBC) was a staged event used by the establishment to distract, and further close down the public’s view into their seedy world of child sex. David Cameron’s recent ‘gay witch-hunt’ cries serve the very same ends – to distract and cover..

New victims are coming out daily to testify about abuse at the hands of the rich and powerful. Will the public let this pass without a fight? We shall see…

Peers demand child abuse investigation is dropped

Lord Lloyd of Berwick: Wants to close the book on Waterhouse.

By Alex Stevenson

The inquiry announced by Theresa May last week into Ronald Waterhouse’s original investigation of child abuse in north Wales care homes should be dropped, peers have said.

Ministers announced the probe into whether the Waterhouse inquiry last week, after victim Steve Messham alleged a senor Tory was among the paedophiles involved.

The original inquiry was criticised in some quarters for not looking at allegations of child abuse outside the care homes.
Messham has subsequently apologised for the case of a mistaken identity, triggering the resignation of George Entwistle as BBC director-general.

Now peers are calling for the inquiry into Waterhouse’s work to be withdrawn or amended.

Crossbench peer Lord Lloyd of Berwick, a retired judge, suggested that “there is no longer any need for another high court judge to go over the word done by Sir Ronald Waterhouse and that on the contrary we should all be grateful for the impeccable nature of his inquiry and the thoroughness of his report”.

Tory Pier Lord McAlpine break silence: ‘I did not sexually abuse anyone’

November 9, 2012

Former Conservative Party treasurer, breaks silence over internet rumours linking him to the North Wales child sex abuse case, describing them as “wholly false and seriously defamatory”

Gordon Rayner
The Telegraph

Lord (Alistair) McAlpine’s name circulated widely online after Steve Messham, a former resident of the Bryn Estyn home in Wrexham, told Newsnight he had been abused by a high-ranking Thatcher-era Tory.

After the Guardian newspaper named Lord McAlpine but reported that he had been a victim of mistaken identity, the peer released a strongly-worded statement addressing the “slurs”.

He said he had visited Wrexham “only once” and that was in the company of an agent from Conservative Central Office.
“I have never been to the children’s home in Wrexham, nor have I ever visited any children’s home, reform school or any other institution of a similar nature,” he said.

“I have never stayed in a hotel in or near Wrexham, I did not own a Rolls Royce, have never had a ‘Gold card’ or ‘Harrods card’ and never wear aftershave, all of which have been alleged.

“I did not sexually abuse Mr Messham or any other residents of the children’s home in Wrexham.”

He added: “I wish to make it clear that I do not suggest that Mr Messham is malicious in making the allegations of sexual abuse about me. He is referring to a terrible period of his life in the 1970’s or 1980’s and what happened to him will have affected him ever since.

“If he does think I am the man who abused him all those years ago I can only suggest that he is mistaken and that he has identified the wrong person.”

A local councillor who was also a victim of abuse at Bryn Estyn told The Guardian that he believed a different member of the McAlpine family may have been mistaken for Lord McAlpine.

Several sources have suggested that Mr Messham may have been referring to Jimmie McAlpine, who chaired the building firm Alfred McAlpine Ltd, and who lived in Chester, near Wrexham.

The Waterhouse inquiry into the abuse allegations recorded that, according to Mr Messham’s statement to the police, “X (the letter used to hide the identity of the McAlpine family member) had several different motor cars and would wait for him at the bottom of Bryn Estyn Lane.”

Jimmie McAlpine, who is now dead, had one of the largest private collections of cars in Britain.

Reporters covering the inquiry at the time concluded that Lord McAlpine could not be the person referred to as the abuser because Mr Messham said his abuser was dead, whereas Lord McAlpine is alive. And when a Times reporter put Lord McAlpine’s name to Messham in 1996, he said his abuser was in fact called ‘Tom’…

AFRICOM IS A GO: Obama Prepares A New Intervention in Mali Using Somalia as His Model

October 12, 2012

Patrick Henningsen
21st Century Wire

Obama has been carrying the AFRICOM ball down the field after the directive was launched under George W. Bush in 2007. Washington DC, led by African Secretary, Jonnie Carson, speaks to its public at a level deserving of an uninformed, Helen Keller-esque populace, claiming that Somalia was ‘a big success’ because Washington spooks spent $500 million backing an “African Proxy Force” that allegedly “drove out al Qaida” in that country. And it is no coincidence that massive untapped oil reserves in the Puntland region in northeastern Somalia were recently announced in early 2012.

Just as Washington’s corporate interests are hidden behind ‘humanitarian interventions’, the UK Prime Minister David Cameron will run the same facade. Last February he hosted an international conference on Somalia, where he pledged more aid, financial help and measures “to fight terrorism” in Somalia. Cameron does not tell you that those so-called terrorist forces are funded and supported, and ultimately steered – by the western intelligence agencies – whereby they control all sides of the local conflict. Note they are using the same recycled narrative in Mali now, fighting “Islamic extremists” there – promoting freedom and democracy in the region etc.

Mali’s vast potential wealth lies in mining, agricultural commodities, and oil – and these proven reserves are not currently exploited. Interestingly enough, Ghana and Mali together account for 5.8% of total world gold production. These assets are the true focus of US and UK interests in Africa – not humanitarian concerns.

The 2012 Somalia Oil Conference was a mere pre-negotiation meeting to discuss how oil assets would be divided up between the US, UK and other remaining energy players – demonstrating what is the real agenda with AFRICOM. Obama supporters will naturally give this President a free pass on Africa because he is of part African descent, not realizing that he is running the exact same agenda as his Republican predecessor. What corporate agents like Jonnie Carson does not tell electorate plebs is that the US has recently  infested itself in Libya, Uganda, Somalia, North Sudan and elsewhere, and now has its eyes set on Mali. The initial goal of US domination of Africa is outlined in the AFRICOM documents, and names the eviction of China from the continent as task number one.

Africa Pulse spells it out: “Strong economic growth in the past decade among African countries rich in oil and minerals has failed to make a significant dent on their poverty levels, according to a World Bank report.”

In other words, the Anglo-American imperialists would like to eliminate competition for Africa’s bountiful resources, continuing a centuries-old policy of raping the Dark Continent and leaving nothing but perpetual internal strife and poverty behind.

U.S. looks to effort in Somalia as model for Mali solution

Anne Gearan and Craig Whitlock

The Obama administration is contemplating broad military, political and humanitarian intervention to stop a slide toward chaos and Islamic extremism in Mali, the top State Department diplomat for Africa said Thursday.

The international but largely U.S.-funded effort to expunge al-Qaeda-linked militants and restore political order in Somalia could present a model for Mali, Assistant Secretary of State for Africa Johnnie Carson said.

Since 2007, the United States has spent more than $550 million to help train and supply an African proxy force of about 18,000 soldiers in Somalia, which has brought a measure of stability to the war-torn country for the first time in two decades.

Although the United States has not committed to replicating that approach in Mali, Carson and others are holding up the routing of the al-Shabab militia and conducting of elections in Somalia as a template for actions elsewhere.

“It’s a model that should be reviewed and looked at as an element for what might be effective in that part of the world,” Carson said in an interview, “but it’s not there yet.”

The Somalia comparison offers the clearest view yet of U.S. thinking about the growing terrorism threat from Mali, a landlocked West African country the size of Texas that has imploded politically since a military coup in March.

As in Somalia, the threat to the United States and other countries from Mali is wrapped in a larger problem of lawlessness, poverty, tribal friction and weak governance.

Somalia adopted a provisional constitution in August, and a new federal government was formed after years of chaos that had fueled terrorism, piracy and famine. Security has slowly improved under the proxy force, which is led by the African Union but bankrolled and trained by the United States, European Union and United Nations.

Carson said the internationally backed plan for Somalia’s political reconstruction was working because the country’s neighbors, the United States, E.U. and United Nations had subscribed to a common set of goals.

He cautioned that a regional and international consensus would be required for the approach to work in Mali. “There needs to be that kind of a clear understanding there as well,” he said.

Mali’s military quickly lost control of the country after the March coup, which was led by a U.S.-trained army captain. Since then, Islamist militias affiliated with al-Qaeda have imposed strict Sharia law in northern Mali and, along with Tuareg rebels, declared an independent state. Hundreds of thousands of refugees have fled their homes.

Last week, the remnants of Mali’s central government, France and west African nations led calls at the United Nations for the creation of an African-led force to help Mali confront the militants.

The Economic Community of West African States has said it is willing to send about 3,300 troops to Mali if it gets the backing of the United Nations and Western countries.

The United States has been leery of a French-backed proposal for quick deployment of an internationally backed African force in Mali, preferring a more comprehensive plan that addresses underlying political problems and tribal divisions.

“We want to make sure that it is an African-led international response, and also be very clear that whatever is done out there should in fact be well planned, well organized and well financed,” Carson said.

The U.S. diplomat has also said that it is important to enlist support from Mali’s northern neighbors, especially Algeria and Mauritania, which share a long border with the troubled country and have also fought their own long-running Islamist insurgencies.

U.S. officials have ruled out sending American combat troops to Mali but have said the Obama administration could help train, equip and transport an intervention force drawn from other African countries.

“There will be a need for some type of security response,” Carson said, adding that the United States could support one if it is drawn up correctly.

NATO PR David Cameron at UN Promoting More ‘Humanitarian Interventions’

September 23, 2011

By Patrick Henningsen
21st Century Wire
September 23, 2011

If you are a seasoned boxing fan, it’s easy to tell when a boxer is fighting out of his weight division. He looks bloated and puffy, mostly from over-hydration and a taper in training. But most of all, the fighter is obviously punching well above his genuine weight.

Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron, who was described by the US President Barrack Obama as “a lightweight” in that infamous Wikileaks cable last year- is such a boxer – bloated, puffy and clearly out of his league. Now that’s a US lightweight calling a Brit a lightweight, which would really make that Brit afeatherweight.

David is not bothered. With his flabby Tory/Lib-Dem Coalition mandate falling apart at home, Cameron is trying to seize the day overseas, fresh off Britain’s little VJ Day field trip to Libya.

Cameron’s big media slot was yesterday at the UN in New York City, where he spouted to world leaders about how we need to, ‘be prepared to intervene again when civilians are massacred by repressive regimes’.

NATO's new Girl Friday promotes template for a criminal enterprise (IMAGE: Infowars.com)

David’s message regarding Libya is that we should really be “quicker” to take military action to stop the slaughter of innocents.

No mention here of the thousands of Libyans who have been killed by NATO bombings and many thousands who were openly slaughtered or ethnically cleansed by NATO’s local partners, the al-Qaida aka “Rebel” fighters, whom they have hired to help dislodge Libyan leader Gaffafi from power.

But Cameron would not trade this experience for the world. He has gotten some actual ‘statesman’ mileage out of Libya (at least in terms of invitations to Berlusconi’s parties etc) so far, and remember last week when he was hailed by tiny staged crowds Tripoli, reassuring them that their country ‘chose the path to freedom’.

And here we are in New York, where Cameron lays it on thick:

“This revolution truly belongs to the Libyan people. The United Nations played a vital role authorising international action. But let’s be clear, the United Nations is no more effective than the nation states that come together to enforce its will.

“On this occasion a coalition of nations across the Western and Arab world had the will to act. In so doing, they stopped Benghazi from joining Srebrenica and Rwanda in history’s painful roll call of massacres the world failed to prevent.”

The truth, of course, is something else altogether.

The rape of Libya was quite possibly the most bold smash-and-grab crime in modern history.

It was even more bold than the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, following the whole “WMD thing”. The US-NATO looting of the sovereign state of Libya was worse because they didn’t even bother to come up with a big lie- like a suitcase nuke, or a WMD. They simply openly joined in under a UN banner, and supported one side militarily in an internal civil war, under the lightweight banner of “humanitarian intervention” via “kinetic actions”.

Western corporations were already beginning to carve up Libya’s assets as far back as March 2011, in the early days of the civil war. Now we have David Cameron running around Manhattan trying to promote this template for a criminal enterprise. Of course, this little war will spill over into other parts of Africa such as Sudan, Egypt, Chad, Niger and Mali, where the UN can send in the blue helmets.

But the facts cannot hide that while David Cameron is at the UN doing the job of Washington and NATO’s little PR girl (like Tony Blair did loyally in 2003), no amount of lies can hide forever what Libya really is- a complete disaster in the making. There is panic at the UN, because the UN knows that it is in grave danger of losing its nerve after being used by the US-NATO-Israeli Axis for this particular criminal campaign.

If there is any justice in the world, one would hope that Cameron, Nicolas Sarkozy and rest of the little European looters in Libya will be dragged into court for crimes against humanity, not least because that’s what they truly deserve.

That ‘special relationship’

Wikileaks jibes aside, Cameron now enjoys a good relationship with Mr Obama. Yes, it’s a return to that “special relationship” enjoyed by the US and Britain for so many years, made famous by those photo shoots at the Crawford Dude Ranch where George W. Bush and Tony Blair sported big belt buckles and pristine Stetsons.

Indeed, Barrack and David can now have cordial discussions about each other’s wives, and perhaps play a round of golf at St Andrews.

But the timing of Cameron’s little jolly in NYC says volumes about the new ‘special relationship’.

The real reason David Cameron is doing this UN junket this week is mainly because he will also be weighing in on Palestine, reminding us, on one hand, that their national aspirations are part of the fabled “Arab Spring”, and on the other hand, that Palestine should forget about statehood.

David will give Abbas a little nudge from England too. ‘No, that’s not the plan right now, Mr Abbas’. No, the proper aspiration is to put that idea of statehood aside for the moment, and opt instead for more, extended, somewhat protracted “peaceful negotiations” with Israel. Yes, it is a much better thing indeed.

He has made clear Britain’s disfavour with Mahmoud Abbas’s desire to make a declaration of statehood at the UN this week. We now know, because Uncle Barrack has told us, that Palestinian Statehood will not happen this year.

Cameron says that it’s a much better thing for Palestine to pursue diplomacy, “sit down and talk to each other, make compromises, build trust and agree”.

Yes, David. It would’ve been interesting to have tried to use that technique in Libya.
